 Our college,

 

            In pursuance with Mahatma Basweshwar’s dream, Mahatma Basweshwar Education Society has been established in 1963 at Latur. This Society is one of the oldest & reputed educational societies in Marathwada region. In the era of globalization, to create engineering graduates having knowledge with global insight, meeting the needs of industry, M.B. Education Society started M. S. Bidve Engineering College in 1983 at Latur, affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Recently the institute has been awarded ISO-9001:2000 certificate.

            Our College offers courses in:

  1.      Civil engineering
  2.     Electrical engineering
  3.     Electronic engineering
  4.     Mechanical engineering
  5.     Information Technology
  6.     Computer science & engineering

            The college is built on sprawling 20 acres of campus in pollution free area. The college is housed in number of spacious buildings like laboratory complex, work shop administrative building and class room complex. All the departments are well equipped with modern equipments.

            College makes every effort to keep their students in a pleasant and comfortable environment. On campus hostel facility is available to accommodate 300 students. Star-grid patterned hostels are well-furnished with spacious & airy rooms supported by solar hot water system.

            So this is a small introduction of our college.

  • Information Technology:

The mission of our Department is to create, nurture and promote an educational and intellectual culture that provides opportunities for undergraduate students to acquire knowledge and develop technical and soft skills that enable deeper and more productive understanding of modern technological era.

  • Objective of the Department:

  • Excellent preparation of our graduates for leadership in the profession and in higher education.

  • To impart substantial knowledge of a broad class of problem-solving techniques which includes algorithms, heuristics, and design techniques and clear understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science.

  • To achieve an ability to clearly communicate technical concepts both orally and in writing.

  • To have sufficient understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of Computer Science such that learning new programming languages, operating system, or information systems.

  • To provide mentoring and support to students, faculty and staff, in order to transfer knowledge on new technologies and methods.

  • Constantly updating our curriculum to incorporate innovations in ever-changing Information technology.

  • To raise the profile of the IT department internally and externally.

  • Faculty is renowned as resource person in various areas such as C, C++, Java, Embedded systems.

  • Vibrant IT students’ association INSPIRE conducts various technical and social events.

 IT Engineering Students’ Association

 

Inspire - the Information Technology Department Students’ association  is a collaboration of all the Information Technology  students of the college. It unites all the students to participate and contribute towards the activities organised by the association.

 

IT is a discipline that combines Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Engineering and Information Technology. This field of Engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work,  how they integrate into the larger picture.

 

Inspire arranges meetings to exchange views and information, learn and share ideas. The wide spectrum of members is committed to the advancement of the theory and practice of Information Processing, Computer Science and related Arts and Sciences. It organizes social events, host talks by guest speakers and alumni, and help communicate with the department and the students.

 

Inspire encourages and assists professionals to maintain the integrity and competence of the profession and fosters a sense of partnership amongst members. Besides the  regular activities the Inspire  also conducts periodic conferences, seminars, workshops, group discussions, quiz etc.

 

Inspire  organizes social and professional activities which strengthen and enrich the community within the department, and to help publicize various research activities within the department.

 

Our Aims and Objectives :

 

  1. To further the knowledge and awareness in the field of Information Technology through meetings, discussions, quizzes and the like.
  2. To create a spirit of brotherhood and co-operation amongst the members of the Association
  3. To develop leadership and initiative, and to inculcate a sense of responsibility amongst the members.
